Our Story
Founded by Julia Brandt, Saturday Candy Co. is a sweet celebration of childhood nostalgia and Swedish tradition. Inspired by “Lördagsgodis” (Saturday Candy) from her own upbringing in Sweden, Julia set out to bring authentic Scandinavian-style confections to Long Island.
Originally an online shop with a loyal following, Saturday Candy Co. took a major step forward when it opened its first storefront on Main Street in Stony Brook (73 Main Street) in October 2025.
More than just a candy store, we’ve created a space for sweet discovery — from retro favorites and artisanal chocolates to the latest candy trends — thoughtfully curated to delight all ages. Located in the heart of historic Stony Brook, we aim to make every visit feel like a joyful trip back to simpler, sweeter times.
